Installing the App
Download and install the CareSens Air app from the App Store or Google Play.
How to sign up on your device
- Launch the CareSens Air app on your smartphone and tap ‘Create an account’ on the login screen.
- Select your country and language and move on to the next step.
- Enter the email address you want to use for your account.
A 6-digit verification code will be sent to your email. This is only valid for 5 minutes, so be sure to enter it within this timeframe to complete verification. - Read the terms and conditions, select ‘Agree’, and move on to the next step.
- Enter your user information and press ‘Confirm’ to complete your registration.

- Login to the CareSens Air user app on your smart device and tap ‘Safety Information’, then tap ‘Scan Sensor Information’.
- On the 'Scan Sensor Information' screen, scan the barcode on the package label, or enter the barcode manually by tapping ‘Enter Manually’. Be sure to enter the information exactly as it appears on the sensor package label. If you enter the serial number and pin code incorrectly, the sensor will fail to connect.
- Follow the steps on the screen to attach the sensor on the back of your upper arm, and tap ‘Start Pairing’. You’ll find more details on attaching the sensor below.
- To connect the sensor, press the power button firmly until it is recessed. When the sensor is successfully connected, the alert settings screen appears. In the case of iOS, you will need to enter the pin code to connect to Bluetooth.
- Once you finish configuring the alert settings, the sensor will warm up for 30 minutes.
- After the 30-minute warmup, your glucose readings will appear on the screen. You don’t need to calibrate the sensor, but you can choose to do so if required.
How to put a sensor on your arm
- Wipe the area where the sensor will be attached to the skin with an alcohol swab and wait for it to dry completely.
- Remove the safety cap and place the applicator horizontally on the back of your upper arm, where the sensor will be attached. Do not press the release button on the applicator until you are ready to attach the sensor.
- Press the Release button on the applicator. The sensor will be released from the applicator and can be attached to the back of your upper arm.
- Remove the applicator and make sure that the sensor has been properly attached.
- After attaching the sensor, you can attach sensor tape to prevent the sensor from being easily removed from the attachment area.
How to set up alerts on your smartphone
- Set your glucose levels in ‘Settings’.
- Under ‘System Alerts’, you can choose whether to receive alerts such as calibration, signal loss, remaining sensor life, sensor error.
- Set to ‘Mute’ as needed, which will silence all alerts except for essential alerts. Calibration, signal loss, remaining sensor life, sensor error alerts must be separately muted to stop the alerts from sounding.

- Check the minimum requirements for your smart device before installing the app. The app may not function properly if you update the operating system of your smart device after installing the app.
- The app may not work properly on smart devices that have not been tested for compatibility.
- Set the date and time automatically from the ‘Settings’ menu of your smart device. If the date and time are not set automatically, you must set them manually if you travel to a different time zone.
- Do not install the app on a smart device that has been tampered with through hacking. The app may not work properly.
The CareSens Air continuous glucose monitoring system (CGMS) is indicated for the management of diabetes mellitus via the measurement of glucose in the interstitial fluid in people aged 18 years and over. CareSens Air is a class IIb medical device. If current sensor readings do not match symptoms or expectations, use a glucose meter to make diabetes treatment decisions.
